The iconic Chicago Bears were looking forward to establishing a downtown presence via an office for their sales and marketing group. Leveraging nearly 100 years of football history as inspiration, this 11,000 sq. ft. buildout on Wacker Drive needed to serve as both work space for employees and entertainment space for potential sponsors.

Client: Chicago Bears Football Club

Location: 123 North Wacker Drive, 15th Floor

Area: 11,000 sq. ft.

Construction Schedule: 12 weeks

Numerous details from Soldier Field and the Bears’ headquarters in Lake Forest’s Halas Hall were implemented in this buildout, including concrete flooring, metal accents, and an exposed deck. Custom touches like the use of old Chicago brick in the Bear Den, graphics designed by local graffiti artists, and turf-lined walls live alongside open collaboration rooms and huddle spaces, making the space both fascinating and functional.

Our team worked closely with both the architect and the client from the onset of the project. By vetting costs early, suggesting cost-effective solutions and alternates throughout, and coordinating carefully with outside technology contractors, this high-profile project came in both on budget and ahead of schedule despite its many custom details. This allowed the Bears’ sales and marketing group to settle in prior to day one of training camp.
