J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to complete a 65,000 square foot phased renovation project at 8600 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue (Presidents Plaza) in Chicago.
Property owner, Angelo, Gordon & Co. and building manager GlenStar Properties hired J.C. Anderson to complete the large capital improvement project, which will consist of closing up a staircase and putting in three new stairways, renovations to the fitness center, conference center, elevator cabs, indoor and outdoor tenant lounge areas, café, first floor lobbies of both 8600 and 8700 W. Bryn Mawr buildings, elevator lobbies, hallways and three sets of restrooms. J.C. Anderson will also remove the existing flooring in the lobbies and install new sub-flooring and stone tile work. Once complete, the new space will feature glass stair railings in the lobbies, new welcome desks in the lobbies, arktura millwork details, wood feature walls, turf flooring in the fitness center and specialty ceiling work.
The construction team for J.C. Anderson is led by Project Executive John Angelovich, Project Manager Jason Hawkins and Superintendent Gary Kuechler. Wright Heerema Architects is providing architectural services and GlenStar Properties is providing project management services.
Totaling 834,893 square feet in four interconnected towers, Presidents Plaza is currently 97 percent leased to a high-caliber roster of tenants. Developed in 1908, Presidents Plaza is ideally located near O’Hare International Airport and features a full-service café, fitness center, hair salon, convenience center, car wash, ATM and bike room.
